Dr. Karole Brown Parker
Dr. Parker has owned and operated Brown Animal Hospital since 2008. She is a 1988 graduate of the University of Georgia, College of Veterinary Medicine and licensed to practice by the South Carolina Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners.
She began practicing veterinary medicine with her late father, Dr. David L. Brown, Jr., at Brown Animal Hospital in 1988. Today, her father’s legacy lives on as she devotes love and passion to the greater Pee Dee Region of South Carolina to heal the pain and suffering of animals and provide the quality and compassionate veterinary care animals and their owners deserve.
Our Story
Brown Animal Hospital opened in 1959 on West Thomas Street in Lake City by Dr. David L. Brown, Jr. In 1961, Dr. Brown built and opened our current location at 1111 East Main Street in Lake City. Dr. Brown served the Pee Dee and surrounding regions on his own until his daughter, Dr. Karole Brown Parker, joined him in practice in 1988. Dr. Brown and Dr. Parker served the community together until Dr. Brown passed away in 2008. Dr. Parker carries on his legacy of compassionate veterinary care in her practice today.
